Sam Jackson mentioned before the show he was annoyed the movie wasn't nominated for Best Picture overall. He said it deserved it.

But, I like that it won anyways!

I know I am. It was the only original film nominated in the catagory. It is great to see 3D animation getting so much attention, especially since it is the field I am in school for.

Well deserved. I was also glad to see that the media leading up to tonight felt that the Incredibles was the better of the nominated films.

I didn't like Shrek, didn't think it was funny. I never saw Shrek 2 because of that, it could be good. I don't know.

Shrek 2 had the biggest opening ever for an animated film, and in a little over three weeks became the highest-grossing animated film of all-time!

I enjoyed Shrek, but notsomuch Shrek 2. I didn't think it was awful. Just not my fave. Brad Bird seemed so nervous!! I was happy for him though-kudos to him for thanking both Pixar and Disney. :sohappy:

Shark Tale was original.

There was already a 3D animated feature film done by Pixar/Disney about fish. Finding Nemo. If it wasn't for Finding Nemo, I highly doubt Dreamworks Animation would even consider doing an animated feature about fish.

BTW, the vegetarian shark was not original. They basically stole that from the character of Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo. I don't see much originality there.

FYI, Shark Tale was in production long before Finding Nemo was.
