Ok I've walked past The Plaza at MK many a time but yet to try anything,however these ice cream cookie bars look intriguing,and although $5.00 + it's a snack on the DDP..Disney Food blog reviews the double mint choc chip and reckons its enough to share.:jawdrop:..So have any of you tried this cookie sandwich and if so what was your verdict....??

There are quite a few locations to get them, but Plaza Ice Cream stopped selling them about 5 years ago unless they recently brought them back. The only place on Main St was the Main St Bakery to get them. The Main St Bakery only sold them with Vanilla ice cream, but you had a variety of cookies to select from there. Other locations offer Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and sugar-free Butter Pecan unless again the flavors changed.

A few other locations:
  • Safari Ice Cream located on the Discovery Island side of the Africa bridge in Animal Kingdom
  • Sleepy Hollow located in Liberty Square in MK (of course)
  • Fountain View Cafe, oh that is now closed to add Starbucks:mad:. I do not think they are offering at any other Epcot locations.
  • Hollywood Scoops @DHS

These are yummy, Hatter, and definitely big enough to share. In fact, last time, 3 of us shared one, and were more than satisfied.
Alas, I am a traditionalist and confine myself to vanilla ice cream. I don't want the ice cream to over-power those delicious cookies.
I'll be sure to order one when we are in the World in LESS THAN 6 Weeks!

Thanks, I did not have time to check the food blog today. So I guess they did finally bring them back. I never understood the reason why they moved them from the Ice Cream Parlor to the Bakery. :rolleyes:

They are good and the traditional Vanilla with Chocolate Chip Cookies is my favorite. The mint is also good, but the Vanilla with Oatmeal Raisin cookie is also good. Another good one is around the holiday they offer a Candy Cane ice cream and put that between a couple of Chocolate Chip Cookies and it is really good.

BTW they are a perfect size for me. No sharing!

When on the DDP, and eating 2 desserts and one snack per day, one must conserve a few calories here and there.
Personally, I swap all fries (which are gross, anyway) for apple slices, skip the CS dessert more often than not, and share my snacks - Dole Whip float excepted of course, 'cause that baby is ALL MINE.

Had one back in 2006 at the ASMo resort, it was so good, picked two different types of cookies with cookies and cream ice cream... Had one this past trip at pofq, very disappointing the cookies were not fresh at all! Will have to try one from MK!

Looks good but not the biggest ice cream fan at Disney. Not sure shy I love it at home but don't remember the last time I got ice cream at Disney. I might have to try one next trip.
