Welcome. Welcome. Welcom. Wel Come in.

Welcome foolish mortals to the Haunted Mansion video game.

Ok, enough of that. Now where was I....ah, yes.

Well, the first good thing about this game is that you get a pass to the movie (SCORE).

Basically your going to the mansion to look into becoming a care taker of the mansion who applies for the job, and obviously gets it. But its really a position where youre set up to help destroy a evil force in the house, and youve got leota on your side.....basically the movie and the game ARE the same thing, just different storyline.

The graphics are done very well, the lighting effects and all are very good.

The music definatly sets the mood for this game.

But, you know how a lot of games take a franchise and make it work? And they fail, badly. Well, this game succeeds where the others fail.

EVERY single thing that youd find in the attraction, is there, all of the ghosts that we all love, are here for a swinging wake. All of the scenes are here, the piano (Although, once i activated it, I didnt see the ghost playing it), and it was strange that the conservitory was part of the library.

The loading time is supurb, I thought Disney was doomed in this area, but each load screen has one of the pictures that change (You know the ones I mean), well, as fast as these babies change, is as fast as the load time is, not to long and not too short, just right to watch the transitions, then bam! Your collecting ghosts.

Although this seems like a Luigi's mansion-esk, Ghost-Busters type game, which, when you break it down to the real basics, it is, but its the Haunted Mansion.

So if your looking for a chance to tour the house, see your favorite ghosts, and hear Grim Grinning Ghosts every day of the week, this is a definate must.

Its on at least Game Cube and PS2...not sure about X-Box though.

Oh, excuse me while I try to locate my heart. I entered the hall way of doors and all, and I saw a ghosts float down the hall, I followed it into the kitchen and I knew something was about to do down. They did a close up of it, the ghost was one of those beautiful looking types, but she flipped her hair back and she was a banshee! Scared the **** out of me the way they did it. I knew it was coming but Good God! I popped the game out and popped in Kirby's Air Ride to calm down

It's out on all three systems as well as the GBA. I have it for Xbox -- been playing for about a week (pre-release review code). I'd have to agree -- this is a great game. Has a few technical flaws, but it's a Disney fan's dream.

Great game. But like I said, in the end, its just Luigi's Mansion 2.0 with a Haunted Mansion twist.

The game was just too easy. The enemies were worthless, ooo, a banshee, the knight, a stupid idiotic ghost which attacked in numbers, a few spiders. Yippie.

It was great to see all ride references and all, but oy, this game was hard on me to finish because it was so bland.

And dont let that FREE TICKET draw you in. If you like the Haunted Mansion, you might like it. But if you've played Luigis Mansion, youve played this game.

It is a great game but too short and too easy, beat the game in no time mine was for the Xbox.Traded it in for a different game.Best is to rent it , it is true to the ride the Graveyard part is the best and the end is pretty cool felt like I was back in MK.It is worth the look much better than the so called POTC game which was really Sea Dogs 2.I give HM 2 thumbs up:sohappy:

I might be misunderstanding you but the POTC game wasnt supposed to be based off the movie. I've only played a demo of it but I thought it was pretty good. Not the best game ever, but good.

Well, guess we'll just have to wait for Disney next movie-to-game...uh, game, Brother Bear.

And in December, the classic game Aladdin from SNES is out, God I can't wait to get that game.

You're right -- it wasn't meant to be POTC, Sea Dogs II was just in financial peril and Disney swooped in with the save.

I'd be happier if it was the Shiny version from the Genesis. The best thing about the Capcom SNES version was the last boss.

Oh -- and Haunted Mansion isn't coming out in PC.

And what about Fantasia and Castle of Illusion, from Genesis? I could barely pass the first level on Fantasia, never beat it, and I think I only got to the final level of CoI once! I think I beat it, but I'm not sure...

I almost bought it Tuesday-but it didn't look that good, so I opted for a game stupider than it probably-MTV Celebrity Deathmatch. So stupid!

Celebrity Deathmatch. A game so horrible, it was cancelled for the GameCube. And thank God. Even those GC has some crappy games, that would've destroyed the system.

Nother game thats semi-bad (Star Wars people, dont hate me) is Rebel Strike, AKA: Star Wars: Rouge Leader III: Rebel Strike.

Basically, ground levels suck, and the whole fact that Dantooine is a level (Yeah, the planet that was blown up in A New Hope) in the game, despite the fact that the game picks up sortly after the Death Star is destroyed.

Highlight of the game: Attack on the Excutor, the Super Star Destroyer.

Alderaan was destroyed. I think the comfusion is coming in becuase Leia tells them the base is on Dantoonie to try and throw off the Empire.

I agree though -- Rebel Strike III is crap, especially when compared to Rouge Leader. I was able to beat the game in about 4 hours, and it only took an additional hour to unlock everything but the "endurance" round. There's a few "neat" aspects of the game though -- such as the intro (which is hillarious) and the fact you can unlock/play the original 1982 Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back arcade games (with original 1982 graphics and sound).

Oh, ok. More than likely I knew that but when Lucas began making the prequels, I dismissed most knowledge of Star Wars for the most part (Cept Han Solo, Rouge Leader series and Jedi Outcast series and the original movie soundtrack.....ooo and Star Wars Weekends). Other than those three things, I'm like "Star Wars? Sorry, I live under a rock"

No, on a serious note though, I love the universe in general, cept the new movies. Became a lot more educated when I was working over at Star Tours down in Tattoine Traders. It grows on you real quick, and in that shop, you've got to know stuff because you'll always have people coming up to you asking you stuff that only people who live in a dim lit room, watching star wars every second of the day would know. I get one of those people and Im like "Dude, I work here, but it doesnt mean that I have a Masters Degree from Star Wars University"

Now if you want to talk Indiana Jones with me you can. If you want to know anything about him beyond the movies, you can but you had better have like three days, cause I start from July 1st 1889, all the way to November 15th 1967.

Oh yeah, and HAUNTED MANSION GAME SUCKS
