The Grosvenor Resort is no more. It is now call Regal Sun Resort
all new Room. The Hotel is new from top down. I just think people
should no it was a good Hotel befor but now its better then ever
a hole new look I think people shoud try it and Its just a short walk to Down
town Disney from the Hotel.

So would this be the third incarnation at that hotel? I know that before it was The Grosvenor, it was The Dutch Inn. That's why the pools form a windmill and there are windmill tiles in the showers. Or at least there were windmill tiles in the showers still as The Grosvenor.

Edit: I just looked at the website for it... Could they have been less creative with naming their restaurant and bar areas? The main dining area went from being "The Flying Dutchman" when it was the Dutch Inn to "Baskervilles" when it was The Grosvenor. Now it's called "Lake View Restaurant." The bar near the main dining area went from being called "Moriarty's" to "Lake View Bar." And Cricket's Lounge in the lobby is now "The Lobby Bar." :rolleyes:

I hope it improves, it wasn't worth the $35 or so I spent on Priceline on a few occasions. Yuck! And as I recall, my mom didn't like it as the Dutch Inn either - we moved to the Polynesian that year (when I was like 10!) and it was the Poly from then on!

Good to hear that it's going to improve. I stay there often due to its proximity to DTD, but I'll admit that some of the rooms I've stayed in needed some serious refurbishment.

Stayed there less than a year ago and the place was a total rat hole.
Rooms are cheaper at the Hilton right now than at this place and the Hilton is twice the hotel.
I hope there is new ownership that goes with the upgrade.
