The Edison Question about Dinner and Live Entertainment (?)

Hello everybody.

I am really looking forward to my first WDW vacation with dinner reservations at Disney Springs (we usually dine at the parks). We have decided to go to The Edison on Saturday night. We have a reservation for 9.45pm. I was told that live entertainment like music should start at around 10pm (?). Can someone explain to me how this works? We have dinner (I guess for an hour) - can we sit at hour table and drink something afterwards or do we have to go to the bar? I have also seen photos of people watching some live entertainment thingies... so I guess you walk around with your drink?

What are the best tables you can suggest I should try to request?

So how does this work?

Thanks for any tipps.
Best regards,
Jason

There isn't a time limit on your time at the table, so the 9:45pm will be perfect. You can easily stay there until midnight. The entertainment is central in the dining room, and can be seen from an upper and lower level. When you check in, tell them you would like to be close to the entertainment, and hopefully that can accommodate that request.

Have a great trip!

We had dinner there on our last trip. We sat in the upper level and had a great view of the artists playing. The sound was excellent from our spot. The lower level has tables close to the entertainers where guests were interacting with the performers and doing some dancing by their tables.
As a choice let me recommend the Candied Bacon as a great appetizer to try.
