The Dwindling Novelty Of 3-D

I wish that there was something available that shows which movies are actually designed for 3D these days and which were just 2D but then made into 3D for the $$$.

Besides Avatar, there's very few movies I really care to watch in 3D...the exception being TRON possibly, if it's done well.

I don't know about others but when I watch a 3D movie (which does look cool), I just about forget that's it's 3D once I start processing the story in my mind. To go a step further, while watching a black and white movie, after getting into and following the story presented, you can just about forget it's in black and white instead of color.

My theory then: if you're constantly looking at the 'effects' you're not totally following the story.
