The "Disney Store Game"

Wasn't sure of any better place to put this. In one of my classes, a girl brought up that she shopped at The Disney Store, and afterwards I mentioned that I was a TDS Cast Member (yeah, I'm still going to call myself a cast member). Anyway, she mentioned that where she's from, they play something called the "Disney Store Game." They go into the store and try to make it all the way to the back wall and touch it without being talked to by a cast member. Quite a challenge, if I do say so myself! She said she's only been successful a few times, and has literally had to dodge over-zealous cast members. Got quite a kick out of this.

P.S.--She wouldn't have been able to do this on my watch!

I've ended many games when I was the greeter at TDS. They come in and I would say hi and they would turn around and leave. Makes me smirk every time! The other thing the kids do is run to the back of the store, which is a safety hazard especially at this time of the year. And they laugh like immature kids do when they get out of the store. It's fun to foil the games though! :drevil:

i can honestly say that i win that game everytime i go into the disney store by me. i go in everytime i go to the mall, just to look. i'd say that about 3/4 of the time i always make it to the back without anyone saying anything to me.

i know i'm ugly, :D but i guess they don't want to get my buisness.

Well, my wife and I just got back from a trip to Vegas and while we were there, we went into the Disney Store in Caesar's. I'd say we were probably in the store for about 40 minutes. It wasn't particularly busy, and there were quite a few cast members working. Yet the entire time, not a single cast member said one word to us.

At my store, most of the great CM's have stayed and we are still in a great Disney mood regardless of who signs our paychecks. The friendliness level has not changed at all...I know I've been at the store too many hours lately!
