The "Disney" in the Disney Channels

It's strange you can watch Toon Disney all day and never see a Mickey Mouse cartoon?? Why dont they ever show Disney classic shorts? Cartoon Network has a great blend of both old and new cartoons.

If the name "Disney" wasn't at the bottom of the screen you would never know the Disney Channel was a DISNEY channel.....until midnight.

They need to mix in some Disney into these cable networks.

I agree they need to air more classic material on both channels.

It's real hard staying up to watch Zorro, Walt Disney Presents, and Ink and Paint when in school.

Toon Disney actually has quite a bit of Disney material. Most of it happens to be crap.

Ducktales is great, Tale Spin (is it still on?), and the others of that time are pretty good shows. Aladdin is the best of the movie series IMO.

Donald's Quack Attack shows the classic cartoons with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

Disney has Pepper Ann and Doug on for a straight hour and they are from the old One Saturday Morning program. They also have Ducktales, Gooftroop, Darkwing Duck, and Timon & Pumbaa are on Toon Disney some times.

I just got toondisney about a month ago and noticed the same thing. Doug, PepperAnn, Sonic the hedgehog, the care bears, with all the great mickey, minnie, donald, goofy, etc shorys that are out there why is disney not showing them? toon "Disney" really isnt very disney.

Also do they still show the gummi bears ? I couldnt seem to find them on toon"notso"disney
(dashing and daring courageous and caring faithful and friendly with stories to share)

I thought Gummi Bears were Disney. The same with Care Bears.

I don't like Doug and PepperAnn. I HATE Sonic.

I wish our Disney Channel was HALF as good as yours. We don't have DuckTales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Wuzzles... We only have Doug :hurl: , Pepper Ann :hurl: , Buzz, Tarzan, Recess, Mouse Works, House of Mouse (all of these I like), the old Pooh, the new Pooh, Sabrina, 101 Dalmatians (crappy)... Playhouse Disney (don't really care)... Those Wonderful World of Disney movies (90% of the times they are crappy productions) and those sitcoms, the only one I just started watching is Boy Meets World, it's pretty funnt actually.

I wish we could have the old cartoons back... But I do like Mouse Works, they were a nice way to introduce the classic characters to new generations. They are not as inventive or as "daring", but they are good. And House of Mouse is just plain funny. Like Recess, that show has got to be the most underrated show ever, right up there with Emperor's New Groove. Both are seriously funny and daring, I guess people just don't get them.

You may get TARZAN the animated series soon on Toon Disney. They are also planning on having Buzz Lightyear of Star Command the animated series on the cable channel as well.

I hear that House of Mouse is coming to TD this fall.

About that show, why on earth did it get the worst time-slot in existance on Saturday morning? When is debuted last year, it was always pre-empted for some Jack Hanna crap on WFTV (Orlando's ABC affiliate, I hate you!). Then, they put it on another channel that I couldn't even get on my cable system. Now that's its moving to Toon Disney, at least it won't get pre-empted. Unfortunlately, Toon Disney is only on Digital Cable in my area.
