Well this band has only really been in England for not that long, but in my opinion its a relief to know that something of their calibre is finally coming back to English rock, i love em! and England seems to, too :)

But now i hear that they have headed over to the USA and usually when some English artists announce this everyone cringes because usually they come back to England with their tale between their legs, because they usually fail to get the attention they got back in the UK, lol but then there's Craig David and Coldplay etc etc to make up for this :)

but what i really want to know is, what are your opinions on the band "The Darkness"???

Check their website out HERE:)

See if you can get a listen to some of these songs.

(And it should be noted that they do have a laugh at themselves, watch their videos)

I believe in a thing called love
You're really growing on me
Get your hands off of my woman mother______

You might be a bit too 'serious rock' for them maybe darrel, but these guys are just brilliant!

This band is in my cd player right now tenchu knows how i feel about them. They are the best thing to come out the britain in the last few years not including rachel stevens:slurp:. There music is great a really gd listen to. one of there best songs would be firday night. Also if anone is going to meatloaf on any of his uk dates they might just pop up as they are supporting him on some of his tour dates. and yes i love the lyrca catsuits as well beats britneys anyday. Also do u not think the bass player looks liek a trendy dad

Let me put it this way, when Glam rock and "HAIR Metal" was popular in the 70`s and 80`s, I was into New wave! :D :animwink:
I have started to get into some metal, ever hear of Theatre of tragedy? That is as metal as I get! :) But even they have started to go more synth pop.

Correct on both accounts there!! lol
But seriously, america be warned, this band will drastically change your opinion of the British rock scene.
This is feel good, let your hair down, jump around like a baboon, screaming at a pitch the Bee Gees could only dream about rock at its best, (or is that only me :lookaroun ).

You have been warned

Now I could be wrong, but I don`t think they are going to be HUGE in america.
Right now America is into groups like Evanessance/Linkin park and such, but then I have been known to be wrong, I`m only Human! :D

Just had to resurrect this topic, who's heard their new single "Christmas Time (Don't let the bells end)? of course its head to head with the pop people from pop idol and all that stuff for Christmas No.1, and i really hope it gets to number one, now that would be different for a change, anyway i love the song, make sure u Darkness fans and Christmas rock song lovers listen to the radio to hear it being played, great stuff!

Also, what are the usual Christmas No.1's in America? are they usual songs or seasonally themed like Britain's madness pop charts? lol
