Bwaaaaa! Sob, sniff. Are they all this sad?!???

OMG.

I'm not one of those emotional women who cry all the time or even every time they see something sad. A friend of mine said she refused to watch the Disney Nature movies because "you just know some cute little animal will die" and that it would be so sad.

I didn't "just know." Even if it happened, I'm not melodramatic nor are my emotions easily manipulated. "If an animal dies, it dies," I thought. So I sat down to watch my first of the Disney Nature movies. Started with flamingoes because they're my favorites.

And I cried. Me. !

If Chimpanzee is this sad, I don't even want to put it in. Gulp.

Yeesh.

Yeah, you don't see it but, well, you may want to watch something else.

Thanks!

I'm going to try African Cats.

I got all of them for Christmas and am just now getting around to watching them.

I can't believe I cried while watching a Disney Nature movie. I'd never admit this IRL,lol.

I saw Earth and Oceans, and... yeah, I think they're probably all sad. In Oceans, there was this one scene where it was like "this polar bear is in serious danger; if it doesn't find food soon, it will die." And I thought it was going to be the start of some feel-good scene where he gets lucky and finds some fish or something. Nope. The polar bear laid down and died from starvation. :( I know that's what really happens, but yikes. Disney is in a tough spot here, because I don't really enjoy watching these knowing that they're all going to have their sad moments, but if they made a super sweet movie, critics would say they were "Disney-fying" real life.

Chimpanzee was not even close to as sad as The Crimson Wing. Thank God. Neither was African Cats, which pretty much sucked.

Chimpanzee was a cute movie. Very endearing. And, like all of them, visually stunning. :)

...In case anyone wants my reviews of the Disney Nature movies, lol. :)
