For Fans of C.S. Lewis' Timeless adventure "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe", the Disney-MGM Studios transforms a soundstage into the frozen world of Narnia and takes guests behind the scenes of the movie making of the epic film.

~Guests will enter the frozen world of Narnia through a giant wardobe.

~Once through the wardrobe,Guests will be surrounded by a wintery landscape, enormous trees, and a replica of the lamp post as seen in the movie and feel as they themselves have entered the world of Narnia.

~In the distance, Guests will see Mr. Tumnus' house beeneth a rock bluff outcropping and the White Witch's castle.

~Guests will exit through a gallery of elaborate creatures, costumes, armor, marquettes, storyboard, props and set pieces that were actually used in the making of the film.

~The 15 min. walk-through experience is located in Soundstage 4 on Mickey Ave.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm really looking forward to this movie. I hope the walk-through is neat. I know this is the same soundstage they put the HM stuff into, but is there anymore to that soundstage than what they used for the HM set? I don't remember it being very big. Hopefully they can present the Narnia stuff in a high quality way in that space. They have the potential to make a pretty neat walkthrough.

I catch a hint of symbolism (I am sure it is just wishful dreaming, but thats just me) in the fact that a wardrobe leading to an all new adventurous world all starts behind One Man's Dream :)

I can't wait to check it out in December, hopefully it is able to open early like I was told.

I was reading on mouseplanet.com that it is scheduled to open on Dec. 9th...the same date that the movie opens. My youngest DD is reading this book right now in school and she is really excited about seeing this. Her teacher told her to be sure and take lots of pictures to share with the class. They are taking a field trip after Christmas break to see the movie.

I read this book when I was a kid, I am sure many of us did, I think I should read it again. There is a HUGE, beautiful billboard for Narnia directly in front of the soundstage.

I would love to know the operating dates too. What are the chances of it being around in May 2006?
I assume Disney probably doesn't even know the answer to that. It all depends on how well the movie does. The more money it makes at the box office, the longer the attraction stays open at the Studios.

If the movie does really well they might keep it open until the DVD release of Narnia.

I have a feeling that the movie(s?) will be great. If a fanboy of LOTR can do what he did with movie versions, then Narnia LWW, with backing from Disney is sure to be a blockbuster hit. Just my opinion, of course. We will have to wait and see in the next few months.

The attraction progress has been going faster than planned; they already have the attraction sign up, and it looks like it could be ready as early as 3 weeks.
