sweet!!!

The Brown Derby is a sweet restaurant!
The food is good and not to expensive.
Also, if you eat at the Brown Derby you get reserved seating at that night showing of Fantasmic, just ask your waiter.
Pretty Sweet!!

Brown Derby

I was not very impressed with the Brown Derby. I'll admit the decor of the resturant is great. I love that style of old Hollywood. But I thought the prices are a little expensive and the options on the menu leave a lot to be desired. The only thing that I would recommend at the Brown Derby is there world famous Cob salad. But if I were you I would try it because different strokes for different folkes.:king:

Brown Derby

ONE DAY I'LL HAVE A MAIN STREET WINDOW! I just ate at the Brown Derby 2 days ago. We had had a bad experience a number of years ago and wanted to try it again. We arrived and were seated immediately (without priority seating). I requested a phone table for my younger brother. This is good for little children. When you sit down a waitress brings a phone to your table and says you have a call(just like a long time ago at fancy restaurants) and Mickey and goofy talk to the kid. It was very nice. We had a great waiter. I would definitely reccomend the black pepper vinagrette salad. It was amazing. My father had the grouper, and our waiter said it was his favorite. My dad loved it. You MUST save room for dessert. The cheesecake iis everyone's favorite, with a chocolate sorcer's mickey hat(blue with stars and all). I had the blueberry creme brulee which is definitely the best one I have ever had. This restaurant provides a relaxed upscale atmosphere(with upscale prices) and I feel it is great for the whole family. Though my brother didn't like his hot dog....
I hope this was informative and that it helped you!:sohappy:

Do you have to request this at the time you make your PS reservations and are the seats pretty good for Fantasmic?

I'm a big fan of the Brown Derby. One of my best experience down in WDW is when somebody was in the restaurant playing piano. I was sitting in a table right next to him and he just kept playing songs for me and my girlfriend. It was classic!

Oh yeah, and the food rules!!!

Yes you can only make this type of reservation from 7 days before from guest services in your hotel, or at guest services in MGM.

The seats are OK in the end section and the veiw isn't the best but it sure beats waiting 1 1/2 hours to see the show at peak times.

Unfortunately the Piano Player no longer entertains guests at the restaurant...
