So I ordered a few gifties to surprise the kids with the first night at WDW. Package arrives while I'm at work, DW opens it despite the fact that it's addressed to me, and gives kids the gifts. <face palm>

I guess I should have told her I'd ordered them - for some reason my wife and DS14 do not understand my general instructions that if a package is addressed to me, don't open it. This is because of just this kind of thing.

That does stink. But I would have told my husband I ordered stuff for gifts and not to open it. I'd have said that we would open it together when I got home. Not saying it's your fault at all, but maybe included her in on the surprise.

We only have the don't open rule if it is around the holidays at our house. If you want to surprise them try sending it to your work so they won't know anything about it.

My wife snuck in some surprises for my son & I this summer by having the items shipped directly to the resort and picking them up while he and I did something else.
