Good Morning Folks...First time Mouse visitors always eat at either one of the 4 parks,or if staying on site, their resort..However as much as I like Epcot for its amazing choices of cuisines,I honestly believe that Downtown Disney has the best choices.:hungry:...Heres my reasoning behind this theory..( Friend was asking me last night where's the best places to eat at WDW ) ..It's got 2 of the best themed restaurants..Rainforest & T- Rex...2 cracking Irish eateries in Cookes & Raglan..A great Cajun experience in House Of Blues..Dare I say one of the best fish restaurants in Fultons ( I know Flying Fish is awesome also ) ..The number one place for the ultimate sandwich in Earls..One of the " Best bang for your Bucks " in WPE ...The number one Chocolate fix cafe " Ghiradelli "...So there you have it..If I have left out your favourite at Downtown, feel free to tell me..Anyway,what are your thoughts on this.?..Where at WDW do you think has the best choices for food.?..:hungry:

I really think that the resorts have the best choices. You're right, on our first visit, and to a lesser extent our second, we spent a lot of time dining in parks. But we soon learned that traveling to the various hotel restaurants is where it's at. Now we could eat exclusively at resorts and not feel like we're missing out on any of the in-park eateries.

we had our wedding reception at raglan rd,its food is awesom as is the entertainment,at our last visit we ate at splitsville and the food there was great,as it gets a little later at night it turns a bit clubby but on a hole we really enjoyed it!

Epcot and DTD both have good restaurants many with a fun theme. My vote however goes to the deluxe resorts in the Magic Kingdom and the Epcot/boardwalk resort areas. Great food and some with fun themes such as WCC or Ohana, also both dinner shows the Hoop de Doo and the Luau are located there.

That's a tough one. I think overall, the go to resort for food has to be AKL. I mean, Boma is definitely one of the best buffets around, Sanaa and Jiko both have really good food and the Mara is their counter service option but they have some unique options you can't get at most hotel food courts WDW offers. I mean, their African stew looks so good! It's definitely a hotel where if you want something different and really good food at a Disney hotel, I'd nominate AKL every time. But I do agree that the deluxes as a whole, offer better food than the other hotels. Beyond the resorts, it has to be either Epcot or Downtown Disney. They both have their good and really bad places but Epcot probably gets the higher ranking if you want something different from American food.

I think a lot of people are looking for a unique experience that's also convenient. Both are knocks against DTD... since many of the dining options in DTD are not unique to WDW. Raglan, Fultons, and TRex (since there's only 1 other one) transcend above this, but the majority of DTD is something I can get locally or when visiting family in other areas...so it feels like a waste to go out of my way to eat at any of those place. I also find DTD more of a hassle if I'm relying on bus service to get me there and back. That being said, I think the resorts win this battle. Sure, there are no resort to resort buses, but nearly all of the deluxe resorts are so well connected to their nearby parks that it's no biggie. You've also got the bulk of the top signature meals at the resorts and a number of highly regarded and/or super popular non signature spots/character meals.

Although I love Epcot eateries, I also love DTD, although, I still think Epcot has a tad bit over DTD. The only places we usually go in DTD is Fulton's, Raglan Road (one of our favs) and EOS (however, Wolfgang Puck Express does have a wonderful selection of foods for every meal) I just love Epcot, and even if the restaurants aren't 5 star, there is such a culinary delight every 20 feet or so!! (Especially during Food and Wine!!) I think it's the diversity I love so much.
