Hello all, welcome to our very first PTR. I've been lurking and enjoying everyone else's for months and decided I have to give it a try. I talked to the people we're traveling with and got a big thumbs up to try, so here we go....
So, - who are we? My family first (and so you know, the 3 of us have all been to DL tons of times, but this is our first trip to Orlando):
[DH: George - He grew up in Southern California, so Disneyland was the fun thing you did on weekends and days off. He's excited about the entire trip, but isn't particularly focused on any one thing. He's really anxious to see Magic Kingdom, but will be pretty "go with the flow" once he's been there.
Me: Wini - I've been to DL tons of times in the 21 years that George and I have been together, but never went as a kid. My favorites rides are Haunted Mansion and PoTC. I'm super excited about seeing both of those at MK and I'm really excited about Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I guess I'm just excited about everything.
DS: Bert - We started taking him to DL when he was 5 and now he's been 4 times. He's a cautious kid, so a lot of our Disney time has always been spent trying to convince him to try the rides. Last year, he accomplished all of the Mountains! YAY!!
Next - the BFFs
The Dad: Jack - Jack, George and I went to college together. He's such a great guy that he's actually our Bert's Godfather. And, best of all, he met and married a woman who is perfect for me. (Makes hanging out as couples oh so much better when your husbands have great taste in wives!!). Jack definitely has some "must do's" - SciFi Diner being pretty high on that list.
The Mom: Sally - She's the one who has taught me everything I've learned about WDW planning. Since she's already planned and finished a WDW family trip she gives me all the great tips (where we'll get wine at Epcot, how to run a proper trip plan online, what rides should we go on while George & Jack are on RnR...)
DD #1 (by age): Lock - Sassy, smart, amazing. She'll definitely be braver than Bert about rides. She's been to WDW before, so she'll get to show us all around.
DD #2 (by age): Shock- Loving, strong-willed, amazing. This is her first trip to WDW too!
