I love Peter Pan more then the next person. I skipped it once, and was devastated. And I still think It should be updated. I mean updated as in tearing it out, and creating a new cutting-edge(not thrill-ride) attraction. Or this could be put into a new park, so the old beautiful ones are saved. I have 2 Ideas for the ride vehicles. Either a long bed, with 5 rows of seating, or a ship. This is with the ship Idea. The ship would be elongated so that it is 1/2 to the full size of a small world boat. It would look glossy and beautiful. It would still look like a pirate ship.
The queue has the same wonderful background music. A map of neverland is on the cieling. The boats are on a little river in front of you, with the impression of waves.(they still fly).
As all the passengers get in the boat, the boat goes forward, not flying though. there is no water, but the overhead track pulls it along the floor tracks. We enter into The Darling Nursery. Here we pause momentarily. It is the full nursery, totally recreated with extremely life like animatronic children, sleeping in the beds. It is dark, and only the window is lit, a fiberoptic tinkerbell flies through the window, the windows open, and an auio animatronic peter is at the window, he says wendy michael, john, lets go, away to neverland! Golden "fairy" dust is released on everyone. They sit up and lift in the air in the air(well most of them)suddenly the boat lurches up and flies through the window. We are flying through the streets, our boat shakes and tips as we fly through the city. People are looking out their windows in awe. We lift up, and see the original diorama of London. As we go through the e.t. like space corridor(with steam and car traveling fast, and wind) we suddenly appear in an indian village, we fly through that(everything is life size), the world of the lost boys, and then we arrive at a humongous hook ship. Hook, smee, and all the other pirates are aboard, as we pause and take part in a battle with them, our ship is hit with cannons(gusts of wind) and we react by tilting back, shaking, etc. Then we leave suddenly as we see Peter appear on the sails, like in the original, we will move into..ANOTHER room where we see every pirate tied up Peter waves good bye to us, as we land in the water again. The crocodile salutes its tail and we head towards Earth, the ship comes alive in golden fiber optics at this time. and the ride is over.
