I’ll miss it for nostalgic reasons, but the two new lands that are coming look like they have a ton of potential. Now let’s see if Disney actually pulls it off!

Well it depends on the changing landscape of their needs. They have to maintain balance…all decisions are up to their judgment at any given time. No need to tip the scales all at once with this management. It’s about “precedence” and “prudence”. They may move forward with the second activity…but the needs of their financial concerns will reign supreme…no matter how it appears ultimately in the court of Public Opinion.

Iger said Disney was done building theme parks about 2 months before they announced Abu Dhabi.

Piston Peak is coming. Villains is definitely a wait and see.

Well, to be fair, Disney isn’t building the park in Abu Dhabi. Anyway, while I guess time will tell, there’s nothing I wouldn’t wager that Villains land gets built.

We've all heard about Disneys grandiose plans in the past and everyone gets excited about what's been announced only to have everything drastically altered because of unavailable money. I'd love Villains Land done properly but it will be a wait and see what comes out of the plans and actual construction.

All very true. This one feels different to me, though, especially because of Epic and what Disney needs to do to answer that.

By opening a new land 5 years+ after Epic’s opening?

They’d started digging before they cancelled Main St Theatre.

They tore down Innoventions West before replacing it with something that tries to look vaguely similar.

There’s no way Villains Land can be considered “guaranteed” at this point.

Have they ever failed to follow through on something as major as a new land? Is there any reason to think this won’t happen?
