Thanksgiving crowds ???

I know I'm wearing out the Thanksgiving questions, sorry. But We have some friends that went last year during TG and told us that the crowds were not near as bad as they were expecting. The only time we have ever been was in mid to late July, so that is my only frame of reference. Anyone have any idea what the crowds will be like compared to the 3rd or 4th week of a typical July?

We always go at Thanksgiving and the crowds really are not that bad, I would just suggest not going to MK on Thanksgiving Day(the evening is usually ok) there is a a cheerleading competition and a beauty pageant so the parks tend to be overrun with all the teens and preteens and their families.

Thanks. We plan on doing MK, HS, and AK on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday then hop over to Universal for Thursday and Friday. Hopefully that will work out for us.

We have gone for Thanksgiving the past two years and are set to go back this year. Crowds have never been to bad, for what it is worth it was way worse in February when we went than Thanksgiving. Make sure you make reservations if sitting down for a meal is important to you. Also, since the weather is SO much more temperate at Thanksgiving than July even when it is crowded I don't think it feels as bad as the summer months. Everyone is in a little better mood and standing with crowds in the 70's vs 90's surface of the sun hot is very different. We really think its the perfect time to go, great weather, and start the holiday season.

We are going the weekend before Thanksgiving, but the Touring Plans crowd calendar has everything as a 4 until the Wednesday before turkey day. I’m a bit relieved given the horror stories I’ve heard.

Before Wed is usually OK, as some local (and probably more state and nationwide) schools do not have the entire week off.
