Thanksgiving - Christmas "Quiet" Period...

I've been back from the World not even a week, and i'm already planning another trip, my best option looks to be late November/Early December 2007. I hear it usually quietens down after Thanksgiving and doesn't pick up till nearer Christmas. I'm just after a bit of advice as when it's best to go during this period to avoid the crowds.

Well I think the secret is out. We booked for December 6-11 last February and even then some room catagories were booked. Talking to many different people at Disney and Travel Planners have said that this year, early December is looking to be one of the most crowded. It is our first time doing a winter trip so we will see.

Tikiman is correct, the secret is out about the slow post Thanksgiving pre Christmas time. It won't be as busy as say June or July but WDW is definitely not the ghost town in used to be during that time. Book your rooms and ADR's ASAP. Any time between 11-27-06 and 12-17-06 will be your best bet. The closer you get to Christmas the more the crowds seem to increase.

Without a doubt my favorite time of year to go.
The trip in 2004 we saw parks nearly deserted. Last year there was a moderate increase in volume, but major attractions were never more than 30 minute waits, no need for Fast Pass, and dining was never a problem being seated.
Expect very heavy crowds through the weekend following Thanksgiving, but by Monday the crowds will have thinned and the parks will be an awesome place to be.
