Has anybody spent Thanksgiving in DW? Well last year we went in February during a school break and it was so crowded . Our school District frowns upon taking the kids out of school during vaction so it’s hard to find a time that’s not super crowded and the kids are on break. Was thinking about going during the week of Thanksgiving. Any thoughts on if you went during this time.

We go every year for Thanksgiving, and we have a GREAT time, the parks are decorated so much, it is so beautiful. We arrive the Thursday prior to Thanksgiving and it is not that busy until the Wed before, it is very busy the Wed before thru that Sat, Sunday easies up and then Monday and Tuesday are great again, but it is very manageable with Fast Pass, just don't go commando and plan to be in parks from open to close, rope drop go for a few hours, go back to resort and then go back at nights

This! I don’t understand when I read about low crowds around Thanksgiving because it’s the exact opposite of what I experience every year. It’s still a great time to go but anytime schools are out the crowds increase.

Its a very popular week, with everyone wanting to see the decorations and experience the holiday at WDW. Think shoulder to shoulder people, the lines for rides snake out into the walkways, with the wait times for rides exceeding 1 hour and usually 2 hours, packed dining spots with exceptionally long lines for QS places. Unless you have a lot of patience and arent expecting to be able to accomplish a lot in a day, you would be better off planning another time. How much is it worth to you to spend a lot of money for a WDW trip and get a lot less enjoyment??

Thanksgiving is packed, period. But it's the greatest time to be at the world. Christmas is actually not too bad but new years week and eve you can forget it.

Maybe its the way we plan or go about our day, but we have never waited in line for an hour for any ride during Thanksgiving, but again, we are not trying to get on every ride every day, we do open the park and get a good 10 rides in before noon and probably another 3-5 at night when we go back

My family and I spent Thanksgiving Day at Animal Kingdom last year. Flight of Passage’s wait time was around 2 1/2 hours (they were operating at reduced capacity that day, so the wait was somewhat longer). The Satu’li Canteen nearby has one of the best Thanksgiving turkey dinners I’ve ever had. Overall, it’s busy the week of Thanksgiving, but nowhere near as busy as the last half of December.

We went last Thanksgiving, Sunday thru Saturday.
It was our 1st Thanksgiving WDW trip.
It wasn't as bad as we had expected.
The worst day, as we had imagined it was going to be, was Friday.
The best part was that MK was open til 2am Wednesday/Thanksgiving Morning.
