Test Track Question...

I noticed they changed a lot of stuff like the screens in the cars are never on and they got rid of some dialogue like in the corrosion tect it doesn't say, "Did you remember to turn those robots off?" and the girl would say, "Umm..." Not that it's important but why did they get rid of that and why are the screens never on?

Actually, all of the mentioned does work, but its the cast members duties to turn them on. Maintenance turns on the Corrosive chamber sound. One cast member should be going on the ride once a day and pointing out what is off and what works. The bad things must be called into maintenance to get fixed. But they do work. As for the screens, they've been a problem since day 1. so if your screen didnt work throughout the ride just let a cm know about it.

As far as I know, all of those elements are still in the ride

The screens have problems once in a while. I've seen everything from a perfect show to bad synchronization (it was ahead or behind the actual ride) to no screen at all

The corrosion test sounds like a simple malfunction, and not a cut of any kind.

Test Track

The past two times I have been down the crash test has not been working. The one you see before you head towards the wall. Does that ever still work?

What do you mean? I see the car is always there or do you mean it never goes flying in to it like it may have done before.

I think the screens don't work because of all of the stress the go every day.

For the past 2 to 3 years the car crash has not been operation.

The car crash has worked in the last 2 or 3 years. ;) It may not when you have visited, but I know for a fact it is operational in the time frame you mentioned. The effect is fairly complex, and suffers from periods of downtime.

The crash scene worked about 2yrs ago... but for the past year, I have never seen it work. *shrug* Bad luck? perhaps...

Yeah...I know it used to work about 2 years or so ago...I have video..but the last 2 trips it's been stationary or really ahead/behind of syncronization with the cars.

Here's the scoop

This is my fav ride at Disney (go fig :animwink: )

Anyway, this is it.

Whenever the ride goes down, the crash scean goes off to. Due to the cars not passing the scensor and the comp reloading, it dosn't work untill the next time the ride is shut down for the night. I was there one night and it wasn't working. There the next morning and it was working.

The A/V is a a constant problem with me, and let me tell you that.

The same reason as Kenan said, the matainance forgets to turn them on and off.

The crash scene, is actually permanently not working. It has not been working for the past year and most likely will not be working in the future. They have actually added sound effects of a car crashing into a wall, and the lights go from dim to bright in that general area. But the crash car does not move from its general position. In May, they also had smoke coming out of the front of the car, to make it look even more realistic, but I believe they forgot to fill it up with water at days end so it rarely works anymore. Also, I had posted that it is maintenance's duty to turn on the audio and video. In most cases it is, but it is actually the CM's duty to turn them on and report if they work or not. Maintenance only sometimes helps out with checking that, but they have other very important stuff to deal with.

My mother rode Test Track on Saturday and got stopped right before you head outside. They were there for 20 minutes before the ride started up again. There was a recording saying the ride would begin again momentarily but you would think they would have sent someone out just to let them know everthing was ok.

Turns out the car in front of them blew a tire and that caused the hold up. They were given passes to ride again but they wanted to get on with their day so they passed on the passes.
