Has anyone been inside the Test Track General Motors VIP lounge?

This year, I will be in Epcot with my father, who retired from GM. Our entire party is 9 total, 4 Adults 5 kids. Does anyone know if that will be too many people to enter the lounge?

Also, is it true that we can go on the ride, without waiting in line after we leave the lounge area? Another question I have is, do we just show the GM ID to a camera, or is there a Cast Member to show the ID to? This will be our first time checking this out so I just want to get as much info as I can.

I haven't been in since they remodeled but before that I have seen more then 9 people in the lounge. I always walked up to the desk in the car showroom area and they took us to the lounge. Getting on the ride the CM would call the loading area and then send us through the exit. Like I said this was before the remodel, but hopefully it helps.

We went last spring. If I recall right, to get into the lounge to get buzzed in at a side door (ask the CM at the entrance to the ride, they will point you to the right way). Upstairs there are pop machines, nice modern bathrooms, sitting area, really cool view out over future world and the track. There is now a desk downstairs inside by the car displays where employees sign a book, show GM ID, and get special fast passes. You now take the fast passes to the fast pass line. I do not know the limit on tickets you can get at one time, we were a party of 4. They were trying to limit how often you come back to get the passes (maybe once every couple of hours?). They were discouraging immediately getting more fast passes right after you ride.

Socrates has info - maybe your Dad can log in there and see if there is more details.
