Test Track Refurb

Test Track will be closed for refurbishment March 3-8, 2002. It is scheduled to reopen to guests March 9, 2002. Test Track is a behind the scenes look at the amazing world of proving and improving automobiles. This is the longest and fastest ride in the "World" with speeds at or around 65 mph while you cruise in your "test car".

Maybe they are going to add the infamous air-gates to Test Track. In my opinion, that would just slow the boarding process and queue line more, but SAFETY first.

Supposedly they are already there.

This may sound strange and selfesh, but I am almost glad.

Let me explain.

That week is our "normal week" to go to WDW. (My husbands spring break for work, and one of the few times we can go.) Since we already went back in Dec, can't go this year. No trip to WDW for us until March 2003

I am trying to come up with good reason why it is better we already went, instead of going in a few weeks. It isn't easy. I was looking at the weather today. Didn't look good.

The gates are now there, and have been for several weeks if not longer... and in my opinion, should have been there from day 1. They don't really impact boarding... When you really think about it... you have to wait for the other people to get out of the car before you can board anyways. So they have zero impact, and increase safety ten fold. Works for me. :)
