Feedback please! ADR time is coming up fast. We'll be traveling with my DS who will be 7, DH, DMIL, and DFIL. We're staying at AKV - Kidani 12/6 - 12/12 and doing the DP. It's our first stay at AKV, so any tips/tricks for that location would be wonderful as well!
Day 1: Arrive, no ADRs - go where the wind takes us.
Day 2: MK - Crystal Palace around 1 for lunch (MK closes at 7, so may leave some time for the pool if the weather cooperates.)
Day 3: HS - Most of the day in HS, boat ride to EP - Chefs de France around 6
Day 4: AK - Tusker House breakfast - usually do around 10, but maybe try for an early res since we're staying at AKV? or maybe enjoy the animals in the a.m. from our savanna view room?
Day 5: MK - cross all my fingers and toes and try to get BOG for dinner. Tony's as back-up. (sigh)
Day 6: EP - Tutto Italia for dinner around 6
Day 7: Depart, Chef Mickey breakfast around 9, go to MK to cry our good byes, get rental car at TTC, pick up all our stuff, and drive to see other family for the weekend.
I feel like we need more AK/AKV resort time - but, not sure where to squeeze it in. DS is in love with the pool just looking at pictures. AK closing at 5 every day is a real bummer. Previous stays have been at BLT and Boardwalk, so we would normally do a park, then head to MK or EP bc it was so close. Need to switch my thinking around.
This is a shorter trip than our normal 8-10 night stay, so I hope I'm not trying to do too much. Being there during the holidays is a first, and I would like some time to explore WS as well.
Also thinking about adding the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Maybe on our last night? Since we're using the DDP, can we use one credit and pay some extra (think I know this answer - um, nope) or do we just pay OOP? I haven't found show times yet - so may have to do some wiggling around of dinners, once that's out.
DMIL and DFIL haven't been back to the world since (gasp!) the 70s. So even though we go all the time, I'd like to show them everything - which I know is not realistic.
Thanks for reading my long post and for any thoughts you may have!!
