Yay I'm going back to Disney on the free dining and we are staying at All Star Sports. I want to know what everyone thinks. Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. We stayed at Pop last time. Also how close are all the All Stars resorts. Can we walk to the All star Movies? Thanks in advance.

I've stayed at all three All-Stars, some multiple times. I'll give a few thoughts, but if you're interested in something in particular, just let me know.

Sports is the first one you come to, which can be an advantage on buses at times when the three All-Stars are all coverd by one bus.

The rooms are what they are, basic and functional, but nothing more. Buildings are small than at Pop (three instead of four stories, and a few less room per floor), but generally the same. The food court is functional, but can get really crowded, and thus slow, at mealtimes or whenever a youth group descends on it. Surf pool is quite nice, and the baseball smaller pool as a lot of fun as well.

In my experience, Sports can be quite loud at night, especially in the inner courtyard of the football buildings. If you're in the back of the place, the walk to food court/main building can be a long one.

In the category of little known facts, there's a walking path from Sports, past McDonalds, Winter/Summerland, Blizzard Beach, and some wetlands to Coronado Springs.

Since you're doing free dining, you probably will be heading to other resorts often. If you won't have a car, your best transfer point to get to other resorts is likely DHS, as it's a relatively short ride and won't involve much backtracking to get to wherever you're going. Of course, if you're headed to AKL, transfer at AK.

If you have any other questions, just ask!

I enjoyed my stay at Sports, but agree with the above. It wasn't kids being ugly (ala Pop Warner:eek:), but just kids playing football and generally having a good time.

I prefer Pop, but would stay at Sports again if Pop was booked.

Enjoy your trip!

I know that the All Star resorts have been going under refurbishment for a while now. I think the pool at Sports will be finished around the middle of next month so you will be staying in a nice newly refurbished resort1

Have a wonderful time1

Stayed at Sports in 06'. It was a lot of fun and I will never forget how my son learned to swim there...awe. We stayed in a Hoops building. It wasn't too far of a walk. But yeah, we too took a stroll to McDonalds to eat.

Noise...yeah, at night it was kind of noisy. There were different baseball teams from other countries staying there and they were rowdy, loud and rude. I don't understand why they have to talk so loudly? Once they went home mid-trip, it was a lot quieter. Busing at nights were crowded and again, these rude groups would not move for a child to sit down. What I really thought was disrespectful was how they draped their countries flags in front of their balconies. All of this wasn't the resorts fault and management said they had many complaints about these teams and tried to help as much as they could.

Pools were fun, theming was cool, food court was good and it was a nice experience.

I stayed at Movies but went hotel hopping into the other 2 (Music and Sport).

Sports is the first one, therefore it gets the buses first. This means your more likely to get a seat.

From what i saw it was good :) Though Movies and Music are slightly better imo because of the character statues, that's the only reason though! And if you want to see them all the All Stars are right next to one another, so if you get chance go hotel hopping! There is different stuff in the shops too :p

I've stayed there a couple of times. It's ok, but probably not my favorite place to stay at. Each time I've stayed there have been a few issues, usually the quality of the room.
