He looks like a real winner...I wonder what his supposed "girlfriend" thought about the incident. I could see someone doing this on a bus...but I would prefer popping their balloon instead.

Definately an over reaction, although I have to admit I have wanted to slap a few parents with unruly kids, I swear it`s a curse of mine everytime I go to a resteraunt there is a screaming kid.I never blame the kids, I blame the parents.

At the risk of being confrontational, I have to point out.....children scream no matter how great or rotten the parents are. It's their way of communicating. That being said there is the question of when you decide as a parent that it's too much to inflict on others. Some people make bad calls on this, some people just don't care. But my experience as a parent with kids past the screaming stage is there's much too much worry about protecting others from your kids. It's a fact of life, not everyone chooses to have kids, but those of us who do really need to be cut a break.. It's not easy. I see parents in the grocery store who are all stressed out about their little ones behavior where as I just think it's cute. They're kids, if you think you can have total contol over them, you're kidding yourself.. That attitude just leads to child abuse...JMHO

You're right, Darrel. It all falls back on the parents, but sometimes kids do get overwhelmed.
When the kids were small we took them to fast food places. We worked our way up. There was this great little Italian place by us. They always gave us the table in the back & brought breadsticks for the kids while we looked at the menu. They always brought a little dish of plain pasta shapes too, great for little fingers. Nobody ever complained when the kids got a little fussy because we were away from everyone else.
They learned how to act in public and do pretty well now (most of the time. )

Oh I understand kids get excited and overwhelmed, but, for instance last week we went to Bakers square and there was this kid who was screaming for his mother he kept saying mother, mother and his mother just ignored him and kept on talking to her friend, now if it was my kid, I would have stopped talking to my friend and ask what he wanted and then admonish him and tell him not to scream again, but no she just flat out ignored him and made it miserable for everyone around them!
