If you're a coffee drinker, (I love coffee), Seattle has the biggest concentration of coffee houses in the country! I've never been to Seattle, but it sounds like my kind of place! I hope you have a fun trip!

One Little Spark...
Of course, there's always the Space Needle. I am not overly fond of SkyCity (the restaurant up there). It's not bad, but it's nothing to rave about...but it's certainly an experience to say you've done at least once!

There's a company that does Duck tours of the city on land and sea that's fun. (like, Ducks...the vehicle...these)

There are a few companies that do Whale Watching excursions, and you are going in season for Orca pods (if you are interested in that). It will take up the good part of an afternoon.

Another neat activity is to take a Seaplane tour.

Go to Pike's Place Market. Neat food, interesting things to see. Not much like it anywhere else in the country. They have a chowder shop there that I enjoy for a quick bite (gotta get it in a sourdough bread bowl!). Matt's in the Market is also good, and has great views of the bay.

Across the way from the Market is the Seattle Aquarium, which is neat and has an underwater display that is rather neat.

Gas Works Park is interesting, and has a good back story. It used to be the site of a gas plant that was shut down, and has since been converted into a park...but still incorporates parts of the old plant.

Not far away in Fremont is the Fremont Troll, a giant sculpture of a Troll. Makes for a fun picture to remember your trip.

There's always shows going on in the area, so I'd certainly recommend taking time to check out what bands may be playing in the area.

Hope this helps!
