Tell me about early March 2016

Hello everyone!

My best friend has never been to WDW (she's never even been to Florida), so we decided this needs to be fixed asap. She has recently gone back to college to finish her degree so our travel times are limited.

We're currently looking at her spring break, March 3-13. Our dates within that window are flexible, and we'll probably stay about a week. (Flying, no rental car.)

I usually travel in early November, so I'm not familiar with crowd levels this time of year. The calendars I've looked at are all over the board - some say low crowds, others say high. So I'm looking for all of your expert advice.

What moderate or deluxe hotel would you recommend for her first stay? This will be my eighth trip to the world; my home is always POFQ/RS, but I really want to immerse her in that "Disney Magic" right from the start. (We're both 29, and leaving her husband and my boyfriend at home for the week.)

What about March 23 or thereabouts? Too close to Easter this year? When is Easter this year? We were at DLR on Easter in 2008(which happened to fall on our anniversary which is the 23rd) and I honestly can't remember it being too bad. But then again, never been to WDW at all. And do Spring discounts come out for that time or is is better to keep our May 3-10 reservations?

Easter is March 27, 2016. The two weeks bookending Easter are among the busiest and most crowded of the year, and are sometimes blacked out for discounts. Stick with May!

Thanks! One of these times I would like to make it for either my birthday or our anniversary but they are 4/4 and 3/23. My sons want to do their birthdays but they are 6/20 and 7/8 LOL Only thing left is my husband whose is 2/12. LMAO I guess I did not plan that very well. LOL
