Television stations at the resorts

I was reading on a web page about the t.v. stations that are at the resorts. Is it true that there are not that many cable stations anymore? When I was there 6 years ago I remember a few like TCM, TBS, AMC, etc.

I remember a whole bunch of Disney channels, a whole bunch of news channels and a couple of Spanish language channels. Not much to watch really but who goes to Disney to watch TV?

As a huge Disney, and television fan, I can say that I have never been disapointed in the channels. As for the specifics that you mentioned, they are not ones I'd normally watch, Expect lots of Disney channels, local networks, and I think the weather.:)

When I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge they also had a channel that was specifically for information about the hotel, animals, and more. Other than that they had all the other channels that were mentioned.

We were at WDW last weekend at Old Key West. Many of the stations you mention that used to be on the internel TV system are now gone. All we got was lots of snow on many of the channels. I thought they might have had technical difficulty, but maybe it is intentional.

Theres no time for TV. Except late at night when you come back from an exhausting day in the parks and just lay there and watch the channels that show the same parks you were just at over and over again. I lay there and smile and say Ha Ha Im in Disney World.

Did you ask someone if there was a problem with the system?

So true, so true. We do the same and say" we did that, we are going to do that tommrow ect...." Next time we go I am thinking I will want channels like NICK and PBS for shows to keep the kid happy, but we will be in a DVC for the frist time and are going to bring a few tapes and also tape the WDW channel too.

:sohappy: It's funny something as simple as that phrase puts me in a disney mood (now I've got the music running through my head)

Disney seems to push their channels (The specific Disney ones as well as ESPN and ABC). I think they see Nickelodean and Cartoon Network as competitors so they snub them. That's a bit dissapointing when my son is looking for some down time (but as everyone says, the time in the room is usually short).
