Has anyone on here been involved with the telephone interview process? I am sure it is a behavioral interview, but I was wondering if anyone can give me input on preparation?

Hopefully some people on here are full time people and can give me information. If you would like to advise off the board I am ok with that as well. Please hurry as the interview is this week.

Thanks to any and all.

Soonershok,

Having experienced phone interviews plenty of times from both sides, I can probably bet that the phone interview will be more than a behavioral interview. It's a quick and inexpensive way to to weed out the wheat from the chaff. Behavior does have a part to play, but usually, a phone interview is a way to make contact with the candidate to see if he/she is really what their resume says they are. You've probably had a bunch of phone interviews before, but they are pretty important at Disney since they have a lot of candidates for each opening.

They will probably ask questions about items in your resume to make sure that their interpretation of what you have written is the same as what you wanted them to understand. Usually, it means that you'll have to clarify what some of the buzzwords that you used on the resume really mean and to give some examples.

Then depending on your position, they will probably ask about your skills and experience. Finally, they will ask some questions to determine if your personality type is a fit to the organization.

I've seen on your profile that you're a ME. Are you applying for position in WDW D&E? WDI? or someplace else. Remember that each division has different perspectives and priorities.

Good luck.
