Team Disney building refub?

We were driving on I-4 today when I noticed there was scaffolding around the sundial at TDOHQ. Is there some sort of renovation going on there? And if so, why are they refurbing HQ when they could use that money elsewhere; where it's needed?

It's been going on for a while. Even backstage buildings need attention every so often. Perhaps they're brightening it up on the inside. As bright as it is on the outside, it's a very dark, cavernous and depressing building on the inside.

^ Hopefully a good interior refurb will inexblicably cause TDO to become awesome and happy.

Yep, that sounds like the kind of headquarters TDO would have; it fits them perfectly! After all, to the press, TDO is all smiles and magic; otherwise, its the black hole where good theme park management goes to die. :drevil:

Though most of what fans would consider "TDO" isn't actually housed within the Team Disney building anymore. The Team Disney building is largely the IT people now, I think. Probably some HR offices (those that aren't part of the Casting buidling), wouldn't surprise me if legal were there, too.

Most of the upper-level management people moved into the former Animation offices at the Studios a few years ago.

I can't believe they are refurbing this during MY trip! Now my trip is ruined! How can they do such a thing I will never go to WDW again!

Wow' you don't hear the words "Team Disney" and "refurb" together much.

This past 12 months has probably had more refurbs taking place than any I can remember since beginning the site 13 years ago.

Honestly I think its great that all the buildings are refurbed be it a long time overdue or only a few years. This is what keeps me wanting to go back to WDW. At least they are putting money in to get things looking nice and working again unstead of not caring until it is falling apart like a six flags park (No Comparison to WDW).

Heaven forbid a HQ should look nice. Most likely just a paint job.
