Bah, worst idea for a broadway musical disney's ever had. 2 hours of crappy Phil Collins music. Yawn...

Now if only they would update Hunchback for the older broadway audience, THAT i'd see.

I am actually very excited for this! I think Disney is making a good choice. From Broadway message boards that I have read, people are really excited about this musical. I love the music from Tarzan and I truly think this may be a hit (if they cast it properly and if the sets and staging are good).

Oh, I have no doubt it will be successful...I guarantee huge hit.

However, I agree with NTI 2002, Tarzan's music is very...erm...for lack of a better word, bland---Like top 40 radio bland. Like British food bland ;)

I know that Hunchback is already a musical in Germany, but dang that would make a great stateside show. Great musical score. Nifty songs. Not to mention it's powerful and intense. Heck, even Mulan's songs are superior to Tarzan's. Of all Disney animated movies, Tarzan would have been my last choice, personally...

Phil Collins music ROCKS! But I do agree that Hunchback would be a better choice.

How can anything we cook be bland compared to a nation that is only interested in ground meat in a bun with some processed cheese that's had flavour replaced with artificial colours? ;)
