Taxi from Pop Century

Has anyone ever taxied from Disney property to Universal? I am spending 2 weeks at Disney but would like to hop over to Universal for the day. Am trying to weigh taxis and Disney transportation vs. rental car.

When we stayed at the All Star Movies Resort last year, we took a bus from the resort to Universal. I can't remember what bus it was. We just asked the front desk what options we had for getting to Universal and we found out that way.

We used MEARS in the past to take us from WDW to Universal. The only thing I didn't like about that was they took I4, which took 2x as long as going the back roads. There was another service that you can call ahead and reserve, and they will bring you door to door... I'll really try to remember... and post it here when I think of it. :hammer:

Also stayed at AS Movies...used mears (they have a shuttle that runs about every hour to universal and back).

I think the price was around $20-$30 for roundtrip per person. Call them for a price...then you can call up to a day before to reserve a time.

for the price a taxi charges round trip, you might better off renting a car for a day
