Isn't it supposed to be a compilation of the series' first few chapters?

I've seen a few commercials for this...it's a sequel for the first one, being released directly onto video and DVD. I loved the first Tarzan movie, so here's hoping the sequel's better than Lion King 2 or Pocahontas 2....ugh...

Don't even get me started on the sequels again. Is the Disney company running out of ideas, or what? I liked Tarzan, Mulan, Atlantis, etc., but the newer movies just don't have the signature Disney feel to them. They're certainly not worthy of re-hashing like this. Of course they'll sell. Anything with the Disney name on it sells, but it is (in my opinion) robbing us of good, well planned, quality films to simply put something out quick to bring in profits. Remember way back when the Disney company WASN'T releasing a new movie each week (theater/DVD/etc.)? That's because they put time, effort, pride & planning into what they were doing & how they were doing it. What a rip!

I agree completely about the sequels. All of the original movies were Disney-caliber wonderful, but they should just leave it at that. Was I the only one that was completely traumatized by how Pocahontas II turned out? That was horrible! And all those Aladdin sequels...sequels have become a disappointment. Oh, except for Toy Story 2, I actually really liked it, but maybe that's because it was Pixar producing it.
Of course, all this said, I'll probably end up seeing Tarzan & Jane anyway!

Artisitcally yes, but finanically no. Movies (hell, I shouldn't be even calling them MOVIES) such as "Lady and the Tramp II" and "The Little Mermaid II" have moved units.

Hey, easy! :D Remember the whole opinon thing? If you yourself is saying that financially they did good, don't you think there's some merit to it? I only bought the L&TT II DVD after I rented it to see if it was good. I admit, this one, and LM II and Lion King II all have very similar stories (kinda like Romeo and Juliet). Again, PERSONALLY, I didn't like LM and LK IIs, but I LOVE L&TT and Peter Pan IIs. And the Buzz and Tarzan series are really good, and I hope they realease Tarzan & Jane in DVD down here (I think it'll be the first episodes of the series) because they didn't release Buzz Lightyear: The Adventure Begins.

Remember, if sequels were so bad, we wouldn't have Toy Story II.
