Taping of Christmas Parade

I would like to attend the taping of the Disney World Christmas Parade. I am getting conflicting reports as to when this taping is actually done. Does anyone know how I can find out the exact dates as well as give any advice for making sure I get in and get a good spot? Thank you!!

Traditionally, it is the first weekend of December.

No details about this years taping have come out.

It is neat to do. But after an hour...you will want to ride attractions...
