Did you people like tapestry of dreams at all? I never saw it but I have heard the soundtrack of dreams vs nations and dreams sounds like a disgusting modification to the original great Tapestry of Nations with some crappy extra sounds and lyrics. Its so sappy, it makes my blood sugar level overload. Note that they still play Tapestry of Nations at the end of Illuminations, but you cannot get the soundtrack anymore, only dreams.

No contest. Tapestry of Dreams was yet another insipid attempt to dumb down Epcot attractions. They took a moving parade about world togetherness and unity and turned it into a dopey barage of children screaming out their materialistic needs and dreams. And those Dream Catchers or whatever the heck they were managed to be even more obnoxious than the children. Amazing how something so beautiful can so easily be turned ugly.

By far, I love Tapestry of Nations way more than Tapestry of Dreams. The parade appears to feel "smooth" without the annoying children commentaries.

I am so glad that I bought the CD while it was still out. I play that in my car during my commute to work almost once a week. Now you cannot get the CD with that same version.

You forgot another option...Neither.

I didn't like either parade.
All they did was cause major traffic nightmares all over World Showcase.
I have the parade soundtrack on CD and it just reminds me of how lame these parades were. Drums and the the words... waila...over and over and OVER again. My wife and I got sick of these parades really fast.:brick:

I do, however, admire the brave castmembers who had to be a part of these parades on windy and rainy nights. It must have taken a lot of strength to hang onto some of those costumes during bad weather. I bet some still have back problems to this day because of these parades.

Nations. For many of the same reasons as others have already stated. Seeing as the music was basically the same in both, it comes down to constantly hearing the word dream inserted into the soundtrack, and the annoying kids talking about how they want to grow up to be a "fill in the blank". It's just like, come on, what the hell does this have to do with the World Showcase? It's like, I really don't care what a 5 year old wants to be when he grows up, because chances are it's going to change like 20 times before they go to college.

Nations for me!! Best parade and music at WDW ever..

I wish they would bring it back, although I understand the issue's with CM health and safety.

Maybe if they redesigned the Parade so the puppets used a similar style as the ones used in the Jammin' Jungle Parade ie, a metal frame on wheels - it would improve health and safety?

I enjoyed this parade a great deal - Tapestry of Nations. It was something I looked forward to on my first visit ever to Epcot. Wish they could find a way to bring this back.:(

Tapestry of Nations was amazing- it's still one of those pieces of music that makes me tear up from time to time. (My first visit to WDW was during 2000 for the millenium celebration)... :)
