Tapestry Departing??

I've been reading around and it sounds like Tapestry is on its way out after 100 Years of Magic? Is this true? Has it been getting a lot of complaints or something? Didn't they keep the Magical Moments parade at MK for 8 years or something like that? Tapestry is only about 3 years old. I think some of the things that have worked against it have been that its performed twice nightly and that the music- although good and enjoyable to some (me) is highly repetative and obnoxious to others. We were just there and MANY people were staking out spots for the parade. Still seems pretty popular. I still think its a great parade and I don't think its worn out its welcome at all. Anyone offer up anything?

First, this version of Tapesty is horrible compared to Tapestry of Nations. Adding bells and cymbals on to the puppets was a stupid mistake. I think removing the Sage of Time was a big mistake, especially considering his replacements.

I along with many others on here think it will be gone after the celebration. There was another thread recently about all the parades and which ones would stay and which ones would go.

they should have just kept Tapestry of Nations...I hate the trolls. They sound like cartoon characters as opposed to the dramatic Sage of Time.

Oh I totally agree, ToN was MUCH better than ToD. Removing the Sage of Time WAS a huge mistake and the instruments on the puppets got annoying. The theme was better also. I didn't know that the theme of universal peace and humanity bringing people together became dated? You don't think they'd try to change it back to ToN after the celebration or has it run its course already?

I don't think they would want to revert back to ToN.

It would really make ToD look bad. I mean replace a new parade which was supposed to be better than ToN, yet revert right back to the parade it replaced.

It would at least sound better to have ToD being replaced by a brand new parade that hasn't been seen at WDW before (at least I don't think LightMagic, the rumored replacement has any way).

all I have to say is...

1-if the ENTIRE parade cast says it's leaving,

2-if the ENTIRE support staff and parade crew says it's leaving, and

3-if the show directors and stage managers say it's leaving...

We all know that the parades are an ever changing thing at Disney World.

The Main St Electrical parade is gone but has been replaced by Spectromagic, Tapestry of Nations has been replaced by Tapestry of Dreams...Illuminations changes..etc.

Instead of being upset that Tapestry of Dreams might be leaving, I look forward to the next Disney Parade replacement.

Disney is always changing and if it wasn't, I think alot of people would get bored and quit going there.

Not me though...I never get bored with that place!

only thing I'm afraid of is them reverting back to no parade, which was the case at Epcot for years. I'd rather have Tapestry of Dreams than nothing at all.

I don't think that Disney would cut out parades entirely, I definitely could see only having one per day. I think WS needs something else to help get people back there.
