Tampa Imagination Park Opening!!

I realize that this doesnt fall under the WDW General Discussion thread, but it was the closest I saw. I thought many people might be interested to know that The Disney Store's "Imagination Park" store will be the 1st in Florida to open in Tampa on September 28th!! :sohappy: Even cooler than this, is that I am one of the few lucky people to be hired by the store. I am now officially a CAST MEMBER!! :king: A Dream come true.

Here are a few facts to look forward to about the new design concept:

*Although Childrens Place once owned the store, Disney has now taken over again!! The magic is definitely coming back.

*We will have our very own Ridemakerz in store where you can design your own "Cars" themed vehicles!!

*There will be a 3 way magic mirror where little ones can actually get messages from the Disney Princesses!!

*We will have Vinylmation!! (Yeah, were that cool.)

There will definitely be more magical surprises in store that I wont ruin for everybody. If you are anywhere near Tampa, you should check it out! Although our soft opening will be on the 28th, our GRAND OPENING will be on Oct. 9th, which Im told some very important guests will be attending!!

It's a newly re-imagined, re-designed flagship store design and overhaul of The Disney Store. A handful of locations are getting this makeover and International Plaza's location is one of them.

Oh really? We were told that we were going to be one of the few stores to carry them. The regular Disney stores DO NOT have them. I wasnt aware that you could buy them anywhere other than the parks and online.:shrug:

Florida mall Disney store sells them. and at the parks they are in just about every other store. even the store in the exit to Dinosaur sells them. also the two stores in the airport sells them just in case guests flying home did not see them in every store in every park. these were special when they first came out. when they were just sold at art of Disney. but Disney always finds a way to oversell something.

I understand what your saying, but we will be the only place in Tampa that has them, and I think thats pretty special. Not everyone is able to go to the parks as often as they'd like.

You are correct!! Thats Vinylmation! They actually have Toy Story themed ones now too. Ive even seen The Muppets.

it's a fun collectible...if you don't like what you get you can trade it. rare ones are highly valued and can be bought/sold via ebay.

have you ever purchased baseball cards? did you see what was inside prior to purchase? i didn't think so. same concept.

I ripped the packages open before I bought them. :lookaroun....(jk- I never got into baseball cards and the gum inside was like cardboard)

I think I would have to do the same with the Vinylmation boxes!

I like your style.. You are so right. I think thats exactly one of the main draws to this collection. The thrill of not knowing what your gonna get and being able to trade them (like pins), etc..
Its the cool thing to do..lol

:lol::ROFLOL::lol: I thought that was just me!!!! When I get doubles I just give them to some random 4 or 5 year old while in the parks.
