What are you looking for? What type of food? Price range? What is a must for me may be different for you...If your taking your family to WDW first and probably only time what Restaurant would be a must?
Well I have an 8Yr old girl and 16Yr boy. We will most likely be doing dinner plan. So most dinners would need to be 1 credit but one night we do want a fine dining experience. Not too picky on food. Really looking for places that have good food and cool atmosphere. What are you looking for? What type of food? Price range? What is a must for me may be different for you...

^^^^ This I'd do Crystal Palace one hour before park opening as it's so magical. If you're adventurous I hear Sanaa is quite good and only one credit. I'd skip CRT as it's 2 credits unless you dd is a total princess nut.If you have younger children I would say Chef Mickey's and / Crystal Palace. Which meal isn't even all that important. It's more the Disney experience. Cinderella's Royal Table would be a treat for a once in lifetime visit.
Getting an outdoor table at Rose and Crown to watch Illuminations can be special. Our family doesn't place much emphasis on "Fine Dining" while at WDW. We can get that at home. If you're into gourmet food, I'm sure other will provide you with multiple options.

Your 8 year old would probably love a character experience. My personal favorites are Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore, Ohana for any meal with Stitch, Lilo, and Mickey, or Chef Mickey's for breakfast with Mickey and friends. All are great experiences and offer a lot of food options. Another fun one, but difficult to get sometimes, is the Garden Grill at EPCOT. It offers a character experience in a cool atmosphere (the restaurant rotates)! If you are looking for something a little different, I suggest Boma or Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both restaurants offer more cultural experiences and delicious foods. My family and I have had many meals at Boma and always go back for more. My step family and I did dinner at Sanaa for the first time on our trip in May and we greatly enjoyed it. Food options are wider at Boma, whereas at Sanaa it is mostly ethnic (Indian, I believe) cuisine. If you do choose to dine at Sanaa, I highly recommend the naan, as it is spectacular. And bonus, Sanaa has a view of the savannah at AKL, so you can see animals as you enjoy your meal. I hope this has helped! My family has done many meals at the parks and if you have questions on any other restaurants I would be happy to help!Well I have an 8Yr old girl and 16Yr boy.
