Hey everyone! Just went to MNSSHP yesterday, and got some updates, and took some pics. I'll point out some stuff to you guys that I found, was good, and what was bad.
But before I get on to anything else, I have to give kudos to peopple for their costumes yesterday:
* There was a guy who had a orange shirt and black pajamas with orange bats, and on his shirt read,"This IS my costume." I thought that was pretty funny.
* There was a large family with most of them were dressed as mice. One of the daughters was a cat, and one fo the CM's asked to the daughter, "Why are you a cat, and the rest is mice?" The parents replied,"Because she's the one protects us from other cats." I thought was funny.
* There was a family dressed as priates, who very conincing. Kudos!!
* When I went to get the Halloween picture at Timekeeper, there was two people who were very covinicing as Cruella de Vil, and one of the puppies. The puppies costume had GREAT makeup. KUDOS!!
* Kudos goes out to the HM CM's. They put a great show at the attraction, saying when the Streching Rooms were full, "We're sorry, but we cannot have any more bodies in this room." Some of the CM's who were dressed as maids did an AWESOME makeup job, and were acting very well.
* I REALLY have to kudos to the MK makeup department for the parade. All the makeup was very well done, especially with those CM's on the HM float. My Dad even thought it was real and not fake makeup!
* There was a already a costume someone made by themselves of Mr. Incredible(Lead Character in "The Incredibles"), it was real fuuny, which makes fun of the costumes of superheroes(watch the most recent trailer, when one of them looks in the mirror, you'll know what I mean.
Now, on to the whole event on it's self. Lots of things were a lot better than last year's:
* The lightning on Main Street was a lot darker thna last years. The regular street lights on Main Street were not on, as opposed to last year, which they were. The only lights that were on were the light projections on the building, and the lights form inside the stores.
* Talking about stores, it's INCREDIBLE!! "The Incredibles" merchandise have already started to pop into the MK, specifically next to the end of Casey's Corner, and the very begining of the Main Street Emporium.
* On the main subject of stores, lots of the stores surpiringly didn't have that much of MNSSHP merchandise. I don't know if it was because it was the first night, and they didn't expect a lot of people, or they didn't have a lot of merchandise, but even if, they need to prepare a bit better.
* The reason above, has to go for Trick-or-Treat stations. 5 times yesterday I saw CM'sgoing tin and out of Trick-or-Treat staions unloading candy. That just doesn't suit with me. That spoils the magic.
* Another little tidbit: Lots of the Trick or Treat station balloons were sometimes misplaced, and confused me, and other people where to go, espcecially in Toontown Fair. Example: There was a balloon infront of Mickey's House, and when you went inside, you learned that it was a line to see Mickey, and the candy station was on the other side. I just hope that they fix that.
* As Coastieboy00 reported, the walls are down around Stitch, the sign on the TTA pylon is up, and I noticed the windows on the side walls (where the FP will be), glows white at night. As far as I can tell, the ground has already been completed, but take that as a grain of salt. I'm not sure if the ground work is finished or not, but it just looks like it.
*I have to say, but I saw something very disturbing in Tomorrowland. Since the Haloween pictures were being taken in Timekeeper, I thought it was going to be in the queue, but instead, it was in the actual theatre. The entrance to the pictures was through the exit of the theatre. We went through there, and I was faced with something that disturbed me immensely: The Timekeeper AA was out in the open, available for everyone to see. I juust that was wrong, and they should have put him out away from guest's viewing, or least have him covered up.
* Lots of people said our shirts were very festive. It read, "Halloween is my thing." In reality, it sort of isn't.
* Maintanance for some reason was following the parade at 10:00. My Dad told me that only happens when a float gets stuck, and Maintanance goes out and pulls the float instead of the driver driving it. I also saw Maintanance at BTMRR, looking over the trains next to the exit.
Well, I have some funny stories for you guys:
I went on BTMRR yesterday the 2nd time in my life. The first time I went on it, I was 9 years old, and I didn't like it. So, I made the effort of going after my fear, and conquering it. It was only a 5-minute wait, So I went in. I went with my Dad, and was seated in the seond to last row of the train # 6. So the ride, begins, we go up the first chain lift, we drop, we go into the second lift chamber, and without me knowing, I ask, "Is htis the end?" My Dad replies, "It's only the beginning." I prepare myself for the second drop. We drop, and twist, and turn, and we finally stop,a nd then I see we're going into up another hill. I tell my Dad again, without seeing what's ahead, "Is THIS the end?!?", I said, pouting and screaming. "Nope!" Dad said. "YOU ARE NOT FREAKIN' SERIOUS!?!", I responded. And then we dropped, but after the whole thing, I felt great, and wanted to do it again, even though my Dad didn't want to, and we saw the parade.
When I went to board the Monorail after we left the exit gates, we went back to station, but there were 2 Monorail CM's at the Express to the TTC Monorail entrance. They were directing people to the Resort Monorail entrance. So we did as they said, and for the first time, I see a bunch of Monorail CM's (about 8), all around Monorail Silver, talking to each other out loud (Keep in mind that this was 11:20). So,we wait for the another Monorail to come, and one of the Monorail CM's get off the booth phone, and another CM asks, "What's the delay?" The other CM quietly whispers in his ear what it is. Immediately, the CM goes and says outloud, "WHAT!?! That's absurd! That's just a stupid mistake!!!" I had never seen a CM like that before, but the Resort Monorail was rnning REAL slow, so I don't know what the hold up was. (I found out by counting that there were 3 Monorails on the Express line, and there 2 Monorails on the Resort line.)
So that's all for Disney, but today, we went to the Orange County Covention Center(new version, or as I like to call, Version 2.0), to get stuff from hurricane relief efforts. We did those things, and I must say, there was HUNDREDS of people there. I took soem pics of it, so I might put it up here.
That's all for now, so thank you for reading, I will try to get some pics up from last night, and have a good day!
PS- Did anyone know who won in the FSU/UNC football game? I missed the end, but I reckon FSU won.
PPS- This is a bit of a technincal question, but does anyone know how to put pics in posts? Thanks!
