We will be in disney for 10 or 11 nights, and are trying to figure out how to use our dining credits, but of course I have way more places I want to try then we do credits . Is tree worth a try? How is food quality? Atmosphere?

It is busy and noisy! But I really like the food there. Rainforest is not as good food-wise (except for that amazingly good cranberry waffle at breakfast - YUM!)...but I haven't ordered anything I didn't really like at T-Rex.

And kids really like it. :)

My wife and 4 year old daughter went there in February and absolutely loved it. When we first walked up I thought 100% that it was going to be your typical themed restaurant with terrible overpriced food, but we were very plesantly suprised. My wife and I both has some type of chicken sandwich on pizza dough bread and it was incredible. We liked it so much that on our second night we left the MK at about 7:00 just to go over to DTD and eat there again.

And one tip... it was like a 45 minute wait for a table, but you can walk in and sit immediately at the bar and eat there if you don't mind with zero wait. We love it because you can watch the awesome fish tank behind the bar the whole time that you are eating and you also have a nice view of the entire restaurant from the high bar seating.

I've gone there with just adults, and we always enjoy it. Although I am excited to go with DD someday too, because I think she'll love it. I prefer Rainforest because I love the one salad they have, my husband prefers T-Rex. But we like the food & atmosphere of both. My parents love to just visit the bar for a drink. I think any of it is worth it to check it out. :)

Food = outstanding. Best burgers I've ever had. The portions are HUGE, too.

Atmosphere = outstanding. It really accomplishes what it's intended to. It's like a Rainforest Café, but themed to dinosaurs.

It's definitely worth a credit.

T-Rex to me looks a lot like Rainforest. And like Rainforest, you go there for the atmosphere, not the food. If I had a little boy I'd definitely consider T-Rex. But not for two adults.

They are owned by the same company, but they are nothing alike. The food at Rainforest is average, but the food at T-Rex is fantastic. Two adults would enjoy it there, IMO. I know I do.

We enjoyed it, but I honestly don't think I would have considered it for an adults only trip. Still, I think it's more of a spectacle than RFC, the service was excellent, and most of what we had was decent...so I certainly wouldn't classify it as a waste of a credit.

They are both owned by Landry's, so yes, same company.

And yes, both are on the Dining Plan as one TS credit as of last year, however, both menu's have a few items that are eligible for the Dining Plan, your waiter will inform you what they are.
