How big is the area that has been blocked off? Because when I looked at it on Windows Live Local it did not appear to be large enough an area to hold a restaurant.

Yep its fairly small. This place is going to have quite a smallish footprint, not sure how high its going to be though.

I would have thought a better location would be at the end of the West Side, there is alot of open space next to House of Blues and Cirque du Soleil.

I just checked Google Earth & they don't show anything there, Windows Live Local still shows a small area.

Thanks for the info. I actually think this is a good choice because it will allow some re-routing of that bottleneck. I'm sure they'll have some water elements, so hopefully it will reinforce the "Island" part of PI a bit more.

Windows Live isn't live at all. A lot of the trees have been gone for over a week and part of the parking lot has been blocked off for days.

Could one of you clever in-the-know folks get a screen capture on local.live.com and then draw in an outline of exactly what area is walled off?

I don't know about clever. But I think I can help. :-)

I believe this to be pretty close to how much of the parking lot is bunkered off.
I usually go at night so there may be more trees gone than I have dotted.

I'll be down at Disney and Universal starting Saturday, Oct. 20, and returning Friday. Oct. 26.

Let me see if I can get when I'm down there.
