Oh well that's not so bad...

I thought you had meant like large rust holes or something like that.

It's definately in need of repair but like I said not as bad as you all made it sound! :p

If your refering to the holes between the rail for the people mover it is just a plastic housing to cover the inner workings and to dress it up to look futureistic when it was built.

I however agree that it does look bad, Walt would have a fit if he saw that kind of thing.

my $.02

Hello all,

I just looked at the pic of the damaged track and here are my 2 cents. I am in the construciton business and it appears as though that housing piece would be VERY difficult to repair because it looks like it is one long continuous piece, and also, it was obviously a totally custom piece when it was made way back when (you can't go to Home Depot and buy some more of that stuff). To replace it, they would have to try to find the old engineering drawings of that piece, find a fabrication shop that can produce such a thing, order it from the shop (paying a HUGE premium for the custom work), wait a while for it to be made, take apart alot of the ride, install the new piece, and pray that it works! Anyway, as I said above, that's just my 2 cents.
