Hi !

We plan to visit Magic Kingdom at 12/31/17 in the Morning and hop to Epcot around 3-4pm for the Sylvester party. Do you think thats a good party location ?

Is that "hopping" a good idea ? What do you think? Are there problems or a risk for (not) entering the EPCOT at 4pm because of a to many people ?

Actually, hopping to Epcot for New Years Eve isn't a bad idea. According to one site I looked at, Epcot has never had a capacity closure. But it will be very, very, crowded. Since you will have used your FPs for MK in the morning, be prepared for looooong queues at all attractions. The likelihood of getting additional FPs in Epcot are pretty much nil. It's also unlikely that you will find a reservation for a table service restaurant if you don't already have one. Expect long lines for all of the counter service restaurants and kiosks.

And if you are going to MK for the morning, plan to arrive well before the gates open to avoid horrendously bad traffic that day.

Thanks for your reply.

According to your traffic advice: Our plan is to arrive early at the EPCOT parking lot and take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom around 8am. At 3 or 4pm we take the monorail back to epcot and sty there for the new years eve. After that we go back to our rental car and drive back to the hotel.
