Switching resorts/Southwest

So I'm currently booked from 2/7 - 2/13 at Pop Century with the 4+3 deal (in this case it's 4+2, but whatev,) bringing my 12 year old nephew for the first time. While planning the days, I quickly realized this is not enough time. So I'm attempting to add two days to the beginning of the trip but have been having ZERO luck getting a discount at a resort I want. And I want a discount because I'm cheap :p

After days of searching, I finally got to book my third choice of Coronado from 2/5 - 2/7 through AAA.
So our first day we're going to spend hanging around the resort, probably mostly swimming then head to DTD for dinner. Day 2, we're going to Blizzard Beach and maybe DTD again in the evening (he wants to try T-Rex and Rainforest,) then the next day we'll switch resorts and head to the parks.

Now here are the questions.

We'll be flying in on Southwest (actually I have a question about that too) and using DME. So when I set up DME online will it ask which resort to drop us off at/pick us up at separately? Or should I call to inform them so they know? Or will they even do this? (I'm assuming this happens all the time and they'll know what to do.)
Now the day we switch resorts, we won't have park tickets until we check in at Pop. Hooowwww do we do this then? It's not like we can have Disney transport our luggage while we're in a park and then check in that evening. Will they provide us with transportation to Pop or should I get a cab rather than bus hopping? I know we can head over there early and leave our luggage with the hotel since the room probably won't be ready, but how do we get there?

And I think this is my last question (for now): Has anyone used the mobile online check in for Southwest on their phone? I've only flown SW once by myself, so I didn't care where I sat, but I want to be able to sit with Ri this time. If I check in on my phone 24 hours before, do they print my boarding pass for me at the airport when we check our luggage? Or should I try to ask the concierge at Pop to do it for me?

Okay that was lengthy.

I would call DME directly, and ask THEM about switching resorts - people do it all the time, and I'm sure it's no big deal!

I think your best bet would be to take a cab to Pop the day you switch resorts.

As far as checking in at Southwest, why not just go to Guest Services at whichever park you're in that 24 hours before you leave, and have THEM print your boarding passes? We did this our last trip, and it was great.

Have fun!

I didn't know they'd do it at park guest services! Thank you, that's a great idea!

Now I just need to find DME's phone number

I'll just throw my two cents' worth of additional comments on here:

-When you call DME/CRO to arrange your DME transportation, you'll want to make sure to associate your *arrival* flight info with your first reservation (Coronado), and your *departure* flight info with your second reservation (Pop).

-When you get your DME booklets (and chances are you'll get two, one for each reservation) immediately throw out the yellow luggage tags that come for your *second* (Pop Century) reservation. You don't want to accidentally tag your bags with those, because either a) they'll go to the wrong hotel, or b) they'll confuse the system and may never leave the airport because the system will say the bags are 2 days early for their associated reservation.

-As for changing resorts and not having the park passes until you check into Pop, as others have said your best (and fastest) bet would be to take a taxi. If you didn't want to lug your bags with you in the taxi, you still have the option to give them to the Coronado Bell Services for them to move over to Pop. They'll just take longer.

-I've never used the cell phone check-in for Southwest (I didn't find out that you can pay for just a 1-day web usage with Verizon until after my last trip on Southwest), but if you check in on your phone or at any other location where you can't print your boarding pass, you can get one at the airport.
If you're checking luggage, the self-checkin screen at the counter gives you the option to re-print your boarding pass.
If you only have carry-on bags, there are other kiosks away from the counter that can just re-print a boarding pass.
