Switching Dates???

Our family currently has our annual trip planned for our usual time in mid-November. We love this time of year for all the usual reasons, weather, lower crowds, and holidays! My girls start kindergarten this year and we would be pulling them out for a week which I don't really have a problem with. BUT, I'm wondering if I should change our dates until the last week in April which is their spring break. I know, I know, spring break is mad crazy!!!! I'm wondering if the madness will have died down by the last week of April??? Aren't most folks finished with Spring Break by then? We used to go the first week of May which is a great time. Can one week make that big a difference??

Spring breaks will vary quite bit from school to school. The busiest weeks tend to flank Easter weekend with the other 2 weeks being only slightly less busy.

I was there April 11-18 this year and the crowds were very manageable except for Magic Kingdom on the last Friday. We were two weeks removed from Easter and, from what we gathered from talking to other guests, only Connecticut was out of school that week.

I think you should stick with Nov. Its the best time to go to Disney and you kids are only going to miss kindergarten. When they are older you won't be able to pull them out of school then you can go spring break.

It doesnt seem like one week should make a difference BUUUUT when you are talking about Disney it sure can.
I'd recommend also sticking with your Nov. plans. Spring break crowds carry over and parks still can be hectic. The crowds should be less in Nov. and the chances of having better weather are on your side then too. Odds are you will be able to accomplish more. AND I'll be there. Yaaaay!!!

As long as your state's laws and school/school district's attendance limitations aren't an issue...I'd go with November. Lower crowds, temps are typically a bit cooler, and holiday decor are key :)

Another Nov vote. Love it here in November. End of April at Disney can be a guessing game. It's wrapping up high school spring breaks and most college ones are done as well and you're flirting with Easter stay over crowds. My bday is about mid April and I'll go to the parks if I can and the crowds have always been decent. Nothing to get worked up about, it is Disney lol. Weather wise would be quite different for you. April you'd have the flower & garden festival. The November dates I believe you'd just be missing food and wine which can be a good or bad thing lol. Either dates won't be bad. I'd do whatever's best for your family and enjoy which ever one you choose :)
