Sweet 16 In Disney?

I'll be turning 16 this April and I was thinking of instead of having a big party and renting a hall and everything, about taking a couple of my friends to Disney. My grandparents said that they wouldn't mind paying for about 3 of my friends to go. 2 of my friends that I would invite have never been and the one that has been last went in 1994. We would either stay at Shades of Green or the Polynesian depending on who in my family goes with us. Although my birthday is in April we would go in the summer because my grandparents can't get school vacation off from work. The most I'd probably be able to stay would be about 6 nights 7 days. Anyone have any tips for something like this? And is there anything special we could do for a sweet 16 or would it just be regular birthday stuff? thankyou. :]

I think that Disney has started offering special parties for Quinceaneras (sweet 15 in some Spanish-speaking cultures). Maybe you can arrange something special through that department. If not, there are a number of special events you can book at WDW, depending on how much you want to spend for your birthday. You can do things like fireworks cruises, dinner in the castle, the Polynesian luau, the Bippidy Boppidy Boutique (while apparently geared towards little girls, I think it'd be kind of cute for a sweet 16, in a silly/fun kind of way), etc.

No, unfortunately it does have to be a quince to do a quince. If you mention sweet 16, you wouldn't be able to. That being said, if you do say it's a quince, you could do one of those packages, just be aware they start at about 2500 and go up from there.

I had my Sweet 16 in DisneyWorld. I took 4 of my friends down and we stayed in the Grand Floridian for 6 days. When we got to our room, it was decorated with birthday decorations.

It was the best Disney vacation of my life and I have been going down every year. On the night of my birthday we had dinner in Cinderella's Castle and they made a special cake. We even went to the Grand Floridian Spa for a day and all got facials and massages. It would of cost the same if I had a party in a hall. I recommend staying in a hotel with the monorail because we were park hopping like crazy and it's just easier. My friends still say it was the best trip they've ever been on. (I'm 21 now)
