Swapping wristbands for more fastpass+

Not sure if this has been answered yet but here goes: In the past, we have always used everyone's park tickets to get fastpasses- even for rides not everyone wants to go on. For example, my wife and MIL hate Tower of Terror, but DD and I love it. So we would get 4 fastpasses from all of our tickets and my DD and I would simply use 2 in a row each. With the wristbands holding the fastpass now, would we have to temporarily "swap" bracelets to use the fastpasses on each one? Has anyone tried this?

Yes, you can swap bracelets for the purpose of FP+. Our friends just got back and did this repeatedly, and not one CM had an issue with it. I think one CM may have questioned the name or something, but then they explained that Mom and Dad were riding again using their two young daughters' FP's while grandma and grandpa watched the girls.

I see no reason why they would ever crack down on this, because it's not cheating the system, or other guests, in any way. The system accounted for "4 additional guests" in the FP queue, and it doesn't matter who those 4 guests are.

The CM's screen doesn't say anything other than the guest's name that's on your MDE profile (which is separate from the name printed on the inside of the Band). So apart from an odd look from the CM for a girl's name popping up on the screen, you shouldn't have any problem.

In fact, I don't think CM's routinely look at the screens unless there's a problem to resolve when a Mickey head turns blue.

I can see myself doing this for TT or EE. I'm going with my folks and we're primarily visiting Epcot and AK. They're looking for a more casual experience. They may not care about these types of rides. I could swap bands with them to ride the same ride three times in the same hour.

We did this with legacy and I plan on doing this for Space Mountain and Everest. Mom gets to sit in the shade while I ride the mountains with her bands then we're off to do other stuff together. It's not like she would ride anything else anyway, so yeah, we're doing this.

Just occurred to me that I will no longer be able to spread a little magic by giving away FPs to a family on my way out of a Park if I can't use them due to time constraints. Ah well.

I actually did that one day for Soarin' of all things. I was just getting over heat stroke after hanging out in the First Aid Station in Odyssey for about an hour and went straight to Soarin' for my FP at 4:00 p.m. I just was not feeling it, so decided to give away the FP. Unbelievably, I coudln't find a guest to give it to. So, I just gave it to a CM to give to someone else instead. I went back to my room to rest after that.

I think the screen shows more than guest name; it also shows resort. During emh the CMs had me verify where I was staying
