Swan or POFQ?

My friend & I are taking our kids (2-9 yr old girls & 12 yr old boy) to WDW mid-July. We have reservations for 2 rooms at POFQ with the 4/3 deal. Now, I see the Swan has a deal for $119/night (we would still get 2 rooms). I know we won't be able to charge to the room or use ME if we switch to the Swan, but the location of the Swan would be really great. Any thoughts on the pros/cons of switching to the Swan? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have stayed at both resorts and I liked both very much.

Swan is not Disney so if you are looking for Disney shampoo and stuff like that then go to POFQ. I do not think you have access to the meal plan or ME if you stay at Swan either, but you can still get EMH and souvenior delivery to your room if I remeber correctly. If you want boat/walking distance to EPCOT and HS then the Swan is for you. I also love going to the Boardwalk at night so if you are interested in that then go with Swan.

POFQ only has bus service to the parks and a boat to DTD. This is a huge negative in my book, but I deal with it. I did enjoy the theming here but thought the CMs in the food court were pretty mean. Also the hot tub is pretty tiny and people dominate it so it is tough to get into it. The rooms were very cute IMO.

The Swan is a wonderful hotel and is just so convenient for the Studios and Epcot (walkable to both). The location sells it for me everytime I stay there.

The $119 rate for the Swan is the best I've seen since running the site, so it really is a genuinely great deal.

The main difference between the Swan and PO is that the Swan is a deluxe and PO is a moderate. At the Swan you get proper, seriously comfortable beds (photos of the heavenly beds http://www.wdwmagic.com/Resorts/Wal...Walt-Disney-World-Swan-Resort-guest-rooms.htm), a very well equiped room, masses of dining choices, and a great big highly themed pool area. You retain Extra Magic Hours, but don't have the dining plan or Magical Express.
