Swan or Dolphin?

Has anyone stayed at either of these reorts recently? I know the Swan was completly redone...and the Dolphin is being worked on.

I currently have the Dolphin booked as it was cheaper. Although, If I don't get one of the new Heavenly beds, I am going to be upset with myself!

Any positive or negative feedback would be great!

Thanks!

It depends on if you are traveling with just two people are not. If it is four people, the Swan is where to stay because it has queen beds; the Dolphin has double beds.

The beds were AMAZING in the Swan. The Dolphin is luxurious in a grand way, but the Swan is luxurious in an intimate way.

For the money, I would go and stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I stayed in the Swan for a couple of nights back in July of this year. The rates were slightly less expensive than the other Epcot resorts and that's why I stayed there. I had stayed at the Beach Club the first time I went to WDW back in 2000 and absolutely loved the location so I was wanting to stay in an Epcot area resort again this time. I didn't wind up enjoying the Swan as much as I had hoped. The location is still great but the decor of the room was very loud in my opinion. The beds and amenties at the resort are strill great though so I'm sure you'll still enjoy yourself if you stay here. Personally, I would try for a similar rate at one of the other Epcot resorts next time.

I stayed at the Dolphin for a conference in early April of this year. Some pictures from it are at the link above. My wife joined me for a few days of that conference. For the price, I thought it was very nice. The heavenly beds _are_ wonderful. Oh, before you go -- if you stay at the Dolphin -- make sure you sign up with the Starwood Preferred Guest program. I wasn't a member when we were at the Dolphin and they were asking about it, but before we stayed at a Westin in Philly, we did sign up and they entitled us to some nice perks. Not sure what the Dolphin's perks would be (if any), but it's free, so why not?

My only complaint about the Dolphin might be the strange palm tree designs in the hallways on the residential floors... I hesitate to explicitly describe them, but let's just say that they don't inspire confidence.... ;)

Overall, though, we were really pleased with what you got for the price we paid.
